<br />Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />June 9, 1992 <br /> <br />B. Essay Contest: <br />Jackie Lindberg and David Norrgard will Co-chair this project which typically runs from <br />August to November. <br /> <br />VII. Other Business <br />A. Lea\>.ue of Human Rights Commissions <br />Thelma reported that the League has asked the State to provide training in the No-Fault <br />grievance process at the September 19 Annual Meeting. They have not received a <br />response from the State yet. <br /> <br />B. Approval of Meeting Minutes <br />Motion: Bancroft "To approve the April 14, 1992 Human Rights Commission meeting <br />minutes. Seconded. Carried. <br />Motion: McKenzie "To approve the May 12, 1992 Human Rights Commission meeting <br />minutes. Seconded. Carried. <br /> <br />C. North Suburban Task Force on Human Rights <br />Deutsch reported that a group of community leaders met on June 4 to discuss how the <br />community might prepare itself to handle diversity issues in a positive and respectful <br />way. The Task Force has mentioned that they will be looking to the Human Rights <br />Commissions to take an active role. Deutsch will continue to attend the meetings and will <br />keep the Commission updated. <br /> <br />D. Proposed Human Rie:hts Commission in Shoreview <br />Sonja Peterson of Shoreview is trying to get a Human Rights Commission started in <br />her community. Mary Jean Turinia Anderson agreed to attend the next Shoreview City <br />Council meeting as a representative from the Roseville Commission. <br /> <br />E.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 14, 1992 at City Hall. <br /> <br />vm.
