Human Rights Commission Minutes July 14, 1992 Themes such as Roseville in Harmony, Roseville' s Celebration of People and Roseville's Melody of People were discussed. The task force will meet at Rosedale on Tuesday, August 11th, at 6:45 p.m. at Arby's on the second level near penneys and Cobbie's Shoe Store. VI. North Suburban Task Force. Deutsch reported on the activities of the North Suburban Task Force on Human Rights. She passed out an outline of the tentative subcommittees for which the Task Force will be looking for volunteers. Larmore volunteered to serve on the law enforcement subcommittee and Anderson volunteered to serve on the work place subcommittee. VII. Grievance Update. No new grievances were filed. Deutsch reported that she had heard nothing new from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. VIII. Other Business. Deutsch reported that the City Council of Shoreview had voted to appoint a Human Rights Commission and extended thanks to Mary Jean Turinia Anderson for speaking to the Council. Councilperson Johnson reported that the VISTA 2000 communi ty forums were coming up on July 29th and 30th and that all Roseville residents are invited to participate. Deutsch reported that there would be a meeting on Tuesday, July 28, 1992 at the North Suburban Cable Commission to see if there is enough interest to move ahead on cable programming. McKenzie volunteered to contact schools to enlist interns to help with the programming if the project proceeds after Tuesday's meeting. IX. Next Meetinq The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT THE SECOND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH. THE DATE WAS CHANGED TO AVOID CONFLICT WITH LABOR DAY WEEKEND TRAVEL. VI. Adiournment The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
