HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 1993 <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Commission Chair Deutsch at <br />7:40 p.m. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members present: Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, David <br />Norrgard, Kim Waite, Stan Borden, Thelma <br />McKenzie, Michael Trainor, Mary Helen <br />Deutsch <br />Excused absences: Linda Larmore, Bob Bancroft <br />Unexcused absences: Jackie Kozak <br />Others present: Sarah Bellefuil, Administrative Intern <br />ZII. Approval of Minutes <br />Deutsch moved, Borden seconded, that the minutes of February <br />9, 1993 be approved. Roll Call: All ayes. <br />IV. Structure of Commission <br />Borden made the motion to appoint Kim Waite to the position of <br />Commission Chairperson and Michael Trainor to the position of <br />Vice-Chairperson effective April 1, 1993. <br />Borden moved, Norrgard seconded the motion. Roll Call: All <br />ayes. <br />Norrgard made the motion to appoint Stan Borden and Mary Jean <br />Turinia Anderson as Grievance Coordinators, to serve as the <br />contact persons for any No-Fault grievances and to assign <br />grievances to Commission members as appropriate, effective <br />April 1, 1993 to March 31, 1994. <br />Norrgard moved; Trainor seconded the motion. Roll Call: All <br />ayes. <br />V. Update on Request for Youth Commissioner <br />Deutsch and Waite will be present at the March 15, 1993 <br />Regular City Council Work Session. They will discuss youth <br />membership and the possibility of a cable project. <br />
