A women contacted the City <br />concerning sexual harassment against her daughter. The <br />harassment was committed by the owner of a shop, located in <br />HarMar Mall, where the girl worked. Anderson spoke with the <br />girl's mother and informed her of various human rights options <br />available to her. After considering these options, the woman <br />felt an investigation was necessary and decided to contact the <br />Minnesota Department of Human Rights. <br />VIII.Other Business <br />1) No-Fault Grievance Training: <br />McKenzie brought up the issue of No-Fault Grievance <br />training. She stated that the League of Minnesota Human <br />Rights Commissions has submitted a grant requesting money <br />to provide No-Fault Grievance training. The training is <br />tentatively scheduled for July. McKenzie also stated <br />that she prefers that the City organize its own training <br />even if the LMHRC does No-Fault training in July. <br />Anderson requested that McKenzie find out what the LMHRC <br />plans are concerning No-Fault Grievance training during <br />the May 22, 1993 LMHRC meeting. If the LMHRC determines <br />that they won't do training then the Commission will <br />start planning a training session to be held in the fall. <br />3) July 4th Roseville Rosefest Parade <br />McKenzie asked if the Commission plans on having a float <br />in the July 4th Roseville Rosefest parade. Mckenzie <br />suggested contacting groups such as the Chamber of <br />Commerce, the Jaycee's, or Dayton's to see if they would <br />be interested in building a float for the Commission. <br />Borden suggested contacting churches in the area and ask <br />them if they would like to use human rights as a theme <br />for their float. Borden also stated that he would <br />contact some organizations to see if anyone would be <br />interested in building a float on behalf of the <br />Commission. <br />2) Developing Commission Subcommittees. <br />Waite suggested that the Commission set up subcommittees <br />to tackle issues brought up during the December 1992 <br />Planning session. Anderson suggested work committees <br />made up of a Commissioner and some people from the <br />community to help implement an activity. It was also <br />suggested that work committees be solicited by the same <br />
