a) Give the individual/s who experience the crime a <br />call offering sympathy and support. <br />b) Send a letter stating that the crime is not <br />condoned by the Commission and Roseville residents. <br />c) Keep in touch with the victim after the initial <br />contact. <br />Trainor stated that he would develop a package which <br />would include: <br />a) a series of letters that could be used in response <br />to various crimes. <br />b) questions to be asked by Commission .embers when <br />they are talking to a Bias Hate Crime victim on the <br />phone. <br />Norrgard proposed that the Commission give a copy of the <br />package to the Roseville Police Department for their <br />review. <br />3. Local Grievances: <br />A. Research training options for No-Fault Grievances <br />McKenzie stated that on June 27, 1993 the LMHRC <br />Board of Directors will be given NFG training. At <br />that time, a trainer will be chosen or a state <br />wide NFG training session. Due to this, McKenzie <br />suggested that the Commission table the idea of <br />planning their own NFG training session. <br />B. Track State referrals for No-Fault Grievances <br />The Commission reviewed a letter from the Minnesota <br />Department of Human Rights giving a list of human <br />rights charges filed by individuals from the City <br />of Roseville. Waite stated that she would request <br />the information quarterly. <br />4. Futuring: <br />Discussion of this topic was tabled until a later date. <br />VII. Grievances <br />There were no grievances reported in May, 1993. <br />VIII.Other Business <br />McKenzie stated that the annual LMHRC meeting will be held <br />September 18, 1993. The meeting will be from 8:30 a.m. to <br />3:00 p.m. <br />IX. Next Meeting <br />The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 10, <br />1993 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. <br />X. Adlournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br />
