The Commission determined the following four issues as most <br />important for 1993. <br />1993 Issues <br />1. Educate and promote at all levels <br />a) age <br />b) occupation <br />c) business community <br />d) youth awareness <br />e) schools <br />1) student Commission members <br />f) reward human rights efforts <br />g) advise City council <br />2. Bias crime <br />a) respond to victims <br />b) improved and expanded <br />c) equal opportunity for <br />service <br />gay and lesbian community <br />3. Local grievances <br />a) respond to violations of Human Rights Act <br />b) training <br />4. Study demographic growth/change in Roseville and plan for <br />the future. <br />Deutsch stated that the next meeting will be a planning <br />session concerning the four issues and how to best and most <br />effectively approach them. They will also discuss whether a <br />Chairperson or team approach is a better way of dealing with <br />future issues. <br />IV. Other Business <br />Pat Johnson mentioned the possibility of putting future <br />commission meetings on the cable channel either monthly or as <br />a quarterly forum. She requested that the Commission get back <br />to her at a later date concerning broadcasting the <br />Commission's meetings. If the Commission is interested, she <br />would discuss it with the City Council. <br />V. Next Meeting <br />The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 9, <br />1993 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. <br />VI. Adjournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br />
