City of Rosevrille <br />Human Rights Commission <br />1993 Strategic Plan <br />The Human Rights Commission conducted an Evaluation/Planning <br />process in January 1993. The process included a discussion of past <br />accomplishments and areas of concern. Each Commissioner listed <br />those issues or areas they believe to be most important for the <br />next few years. After some discussion, the Commissioners voted on <br />the top three issues. The following list of priorities is the <br />result of this process. . <br />I. Education <br />To promote Human Rights in all parts of our community and to <br />educate all age groups. To place a special emphasis on youth and <br />include participation by youth on the Human Rights Commission. To <br />increase communication with the City Council. <br />II. Bias/Hate Crime <br />To implement a procedure to respond to victims of Hate/Bias <br />related crimes in Roseville. <br />III. Local Grievances <br />To respond to violations of the State Human Rights Statute in <br />Roseville using the No Fault Grievance Process. To provide the <br />necessary training to Commissioners so that they can mediate <br />grievances. <br />IV. Futuring <br />To study the demographic changes in Roseville for more <br />effective planning and response to the Human Rights issues in our <br />Community. <br />
