Larry Mazzitello spoke about Reflect Respect
Mazzitello discussed his position as Special Project Manager
for Northwest Youth & Family Services' program Reflect
Respect. He stated that Reflect Respect was established to
address issues that have or could occur because of the
changing demographics of the metro area. Mazzitello stated
that he is not currently sure how the achievements of the
program will be measured but thought that surveys and/or
statistical analysis might be used. Mazzitello also stated
that, because Reflect Respect and the Roseville Human Rights
Commission have similar concerns, they could consider doing
some joint projects.
The composition of Reflect Respect includes a Steering
Committee, Forum, and Action Groups. The Steering Committee
will initially have about 30 members and will handle the day
to day monitoring of the program. Dean Maschka is the
Chairman of the Steering Committee. There will also be a
Reflect Respect Forum which will take place every four (4) to
six (6) weeks beginning Thursday, February 11, 1993. Finally,
there will be Reflect Respect Action Groups, which will
operate under the general supervision of the Steering
Committee, and determine the focus of the organization.
