<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JANUARY 24, 1966. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was <br />duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on <br />January 24, 1966, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were <br />present: Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Grauel and Shields, Hayor Cedarholm <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Goodrich introduced the following <br />Resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No.~4 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY EMINENT DOMAIN <br />PROCEEDINGS THE FEE SIMPLE INTEREST IN CERTAIN LAND TO <br />CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A STORM WATER DITCH AND A <br />PARK SITE FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AND <br />AUTHORIZING NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS TO BE COMMENCED FOR <br />SAID PURPOSES AS A PART OF STORM SEWER 64-43: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council for the Village of <br />Roseville has been advised by competent engineers that it <br />is feasible to construct a storm water ditch over the land <br />hereinafter described, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it necessary and <br />expedient to acquire the remainder of the land hereinafter <br />described as and for a park site, being contiguous to the <br />master park of the Village of Roseville, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the present owners and the other persons <br />having an interest in said required land have indicated that <br />they are unwilling to negotiate with th~Village of Roseville <br />on a reasonable basis for the acquisitfon of the same; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Minnesota state <br />that the Village has the power and authority to take and <br />acquire said property by condemnation under the power of <br />eminent domain, and <br />
