LETTER TO THE EDITOR
April 18, 1994

Residents in two areas of Roseville have reported recent incidents
in which inflammatory leaflets have been put under windshields of
parked cars. This is "White Supremacy" literature with anti-Jewish
contents and an emphasis on the separation of the races. It is
being distributed by the "National Socialist American Workers
Freedom Movement" with headquarters in Minneapolis.

Such material is an offense to our community and disturbing to
people of good will. The City of Roseville seeks constantly to
build a climate of trust and interracial harmony through many
programs in the schools, churches and community. We decry this
intrusion of blatant bigotry into Roseville and urge our citizens
to ignore and destroy it.

Should you be subject to such unsolicited distribution of leaflets,
we would appreciate your notifying City Hall so we can monitor such
activity and deal with any violation of existing human rights
ordinances which may occur.

We thank those citizens who have called this to our attention and
the many others who by word and deed bring honor to our community.

Mike Trainor, Chair
Roseville Human Rights Commission

Note: The Roseville Human Rights Commission is appointed by the
Roseville City Council to secure equal opportunity in employment,
housing, public accommodations, public services and education for
all citizens.
