Human Riqhts Excellence Award <br />The Commission expressed their appreciation to Jerry Beck <br />for his work on the Human Rights Excellence Award article in <br />the city Newsletter. Mike Trainor will provide information <br />regarding the Human Rights Excellence Award to the Chamber <br />of Commerce. <br /> <br />VIII. Leaque Conference Review <br />The Commission members attending the League Conference felt <br />the Conference was worthwhile, with positive comments about <br />individual workshops, etc. <br /> <br />Thelma McKenzie reported that the Mediation Training would <br />be November 5, 6, 12, and 13, at Roseville City Hall. <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist commented that the Golden Valley School <br />District has a curriculum for sale, prepared for students <br />who are involved in bias situations, sexual harassment, etc. <br /> <br />IX. Youth Consultant <br />The Commission has received one application for the Youth <br />Consultant position. Stan Borden moved, Jill Bergquist <br />seconded, that Alex Schlief be selected provisionally as the <br />Youth Consultant, with final selection based on an inter- <br />view.
