Human Riqhts Excellence Award <br />stan Borden reviewed the nomination received to date for <br />the Excellence Award. The Commission concluded the elements <br />included in the nomination did not relate to the criteria <br />for the Human Rights award. stan will write a letter <br />explaining this to the person nominating the company. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed to keep nominations open at this <br />time. <br /> <br />IX. Grievance Update <br />Mary Jean Turinia Anderson indicated that one of the <br />parties in the grievance she is handling decided not to <br />sign the agreement. Therefore, the grievance has been <br />closed with no final agreement. <br /> <br />The Commission requested a city Attorney's opinion on <br />whether the discussions during the No-Fault Grievance <br />process and subsequent agreements are private or pUblic. <br />How does the Data Privacy Act relate to the No-Fault <br />Grievance process? <br /> <br />X. other Business <br />Susan Forsyth provided a calendar of monthly human rights <br />celebrations. Susan will prepare, for the next Commission <br />meeting, a suggested human rights article to be used as a <br />press release. <br /> <br />XI. Next Meetinq <br />The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 13, <br />beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />XII. Adiournment <br />Bob Bancroft moved, Stan Borden seconded, that the meeting <br />be adjourned at 9:30 p.m. Roll Call, Ayes: All present. <br />Nays: None. <br />
