Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Commission Chair Trainor <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br /> <br />Members present: Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, Jill Berg- <br />quist, Bob Bancroft, stan Borden, Mike <br />Hermes, Larissa Rippley, Alex Schlief, <br />and Mike Trainor. <br /> <br />Members absent: Susan Forsyth (excused), Thelma McKenzie, <br />and Maria Reed. <br /> <br />others present: Steve North, Staff Liaison. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Bob Bancroft moved, <br />of the November 8, <br />Ayes: All present. <br /> <br />Stan Borden seconded, that <br />1994 meeting be approved. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />the minutes <br />Roll Call, <br /> <br />IV. Bias Hate Crimes <br /> <br />Mike Trainor indicated there was no report at this time. <br /> <br />V. Cable <br /> <br />Mike Hermes showed the commission the Cable TV segment of <br />"Soft Copy" featuring an interview with Jill Bergquist. <br />commission members indicated their appreciation to Mike and <br />Jill for their work on behalf of the Commission. <br /> <br />Mike indicated there will be two different public service <br />announcements regarding human rights, used at various times <br />on Channel 33. <br /> <br />VI. Essav Competition <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist and Larissa Rippley reviewed the approxi- <br />mately 100 essays submitted, selecting 20 for further <br />consideration. The Commission members attending this <br />meeting reviewed the 20 essays. <br /> <br /> <br />
