Nays: None. <br /> <br />The commission decided to present the Essay Awards at the <br />January 23, 1995 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Jill read a note from Christine pistotnik, Teacher, Rose- <br />ville Area Middle School, complimenting the Commission on <br />the Essay Contest. Stan Borden suggested that the two <br />teachers who were so supportive of the Essay Contest be <br />invited to the Awards Program. <br /> <br />Jill expressed her thanks to Larissa Rippley for her <br />assistance in reviewing all the essays. <br /> <br />VII. Human Riqhts Excellence Award <br /> <br />Stan Borden reviewed the nomination of Advance Circuits, <br />Inc. to receive the Commission's Human Rights Excellence <br />Award. He has talked to several staff members at Advance <br />Circuits, and has received additional information regarding <br />their Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action <br />Programs. After discussion, the Commission agreed they <br />would consider the nomination at the January 10 meeting. <br /> <br />VIII. Grievance Update <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist indicated a member of the Shoreview Human <br />Rights Commission has requested an opportunity to sit in on <br />a No-Fault Grievance session conducted by a Roseville <br />commissioner. commission members felt this was a good <br />idea. <br />
