<br />ROSEVILLE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TUESDA Y, APRIL 11, 1995 <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by commission chair Trainor at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />n. <br /> <br />RollCall <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Bob Bancroft, Jill Bergquist, Stan Borden, Mike Hermes, Thelma <br />McKenzie, Larissa Rippley, and Alex Schlief <br /> <br />Excused absences: <br /> <br />Mary Jean Turinia Anderson and Susan Forsyth. <br /> <br />Others present: <br /> <br />Marion Helland, Golden Valley Human Rights Commission <br />Nancy Rys-Nicol, Administrative Intern <br /> <br />III. Approval of Minutes <br />Motion by Bergquist, seconded by Hermes, that the minutes of the March ]4, 1995, <br />meeting be approved. <br />Roll call: Ayes: all present Nays: none <br /> <br />IV. Presentation bv Marion Helland <br />Marion Helland from the Golden Valley Human Rights Commission was present to inform <br />the commission regarding her work with schools. Ms. Helland distributed materials on a <br />human rights poster contest that she has created <br /> <br />V. Bias/Hate Crimes <br />No report. <br /> <br />VI. Cable <br />Mike Hermes reported that the 30 second information ad regarding the Human Rights <br />Commission has been running on cable television on a regular basis. <br /> <br />VII. Hnman Rights Excellence Award <br />Stan Borden stated that he will continue to promote the Human Rights Excellence Award <br />in the business community. <br />
