Essav Competition <br />Jill Bergquist reported that the presentation at the City Council meeting went well The <br />winners read their essays during the presentation. The Roseville Review gave the essay <br />competition good coverage. <br /> <br />VIII. Grievance Update <br />. There was no new information to report at this time. <br /> <br />Mary Jean Turinia Anderson notified the commission that there is a bill that has been <br />introduced in the Legislature that would increase the filing time for a grievance from one <br />year to two years. The State Department of Human Rights is opposed to the bill for that <br />reason. <br /> <br />lX. Review Commission Brochure <br />Mike Trainor briefly reviewed some of the changes to the brochure. The changes include: <br />deleting the state law, removing commissioner's name and telephone numbers, and <br />reducing the logo on the front cover. The changes will be discussed in further detail at the <br />March meeting. <br /> <br />X. Other Business <br />Mike Trainor would like to invite Marion Helland to the April]], ]995, commission <br />meeting to talk about the poster competition packet. <br /> <br />Mary Jean Turinia Anderson showed a sharing diversity poster that highlights international <br />events each month. <br /> <br />Mike Hermes suggested that the commission volunteer for the Star of the North games <br />that will be held in June. It would be a good opportunity for the commission to get <br />visibility in the community. <br /> <br />XI. Next Meetin!! <br />The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March ]4, ]995, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />XII. Adiournment <br />There was a motion by Mike Hermes, seconded by Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, to <br />adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:2<l P.M. <br />
