<br />MEETING WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT MULTICULTURAL COMMITTEE <br />February 6, 1996 <br /> <br />Representatives of the Roseville Human Rights Commission (HRC), <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist, Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, and Susan Forsyth met <br /> <br />with the Roseville School District's Multicultural Committee on <br /> <br />February 6, 1996, at the Fairview Community Center. <br /> <br />Topics of discussion included ways of connecting with each other, <br /> <br />cooperation on video projects and productions, and the HRC youth <br /> <br />representative. <br /> <br />I. General Connections. <br /> <br />Members of the Multicultural Committee seemed very <br /> <br />interested about finding ways of connecting with the Human Rights <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />We discussed the importance of letting each other <br /> <br />know about what we are doing. <br /> <br />II. Video Projects <br /> <br />A. ADA Grant project. <br /> <br />We discussed the proposed grant project, by which the HRC <br /> <br />intends to obtain and use grant money to produce a video on <br /> <br />disability issues. <br /> <br />The HRC is also planning on extending this <br /> <br />project to include gender equity. <br /> <br />The Multicultural Committee <br /> <br />did not appear to have funds to commit to the project, but, in <br /> <br />any event, wanted more information before committing to the <br />
