<br />V. Cable TVNideo <br /> <br />The summation of the League Annual Meeting is now available. Cable <br />scheduling will be worked out in the near future. <br /> <br />Mike Hermes had no report regarding Cable TVNideo. <br /> <br />VI. Grievance Update <br /> <br />No grievances have been filed. <br /> <br />VII. Human Riahts Essav Contest <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist asked that a letter be prepared to notify the schools that the <br />Contest is for seventh and eighth grade students only. Debbie Zamow will have <br />a letter prepared for Mike Trainor's signature. Mike Hermes will be phoning the <br />schools to notify them of age limits and that essays will be picked up on Nov 22. <br /> <br />Isaac Afwerke will pick up the essays and he and Chris Malark will begin the <br />initial screening. <br /> <br />VIII. Human RiQhts Excellence Award <br /> <br />A press release regarding the Human Rights Excellence Award was in the <br />Roseville City Newsletter. None of the Commission members have received <br />nominations yet. Mike Hermes will have the notice put in a local paper. <br /> <br />IX. Other Business <br /> <br />A. Police Chief Paul Wood introduced himself to the Commission. He spoke <br />briefly of his efforts to reduce gang activity in his previous position in the <br />City of Wilkensburg, PA. <br /> <br />B. The Commission is asking for help from the Minn. Department of Human <br />Rights in accessing information on any charges filed by or against <br />Roseville residents.' Jill Bergquist moved, Isaac Afwerke seconded that a <br />letter be sent out to Delores Fridge, Acting Commissioner, Minn. <br />Department of Human Rights. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: All present <br /> <br />Nays: None <br />
