6) Statewide Human Rights Essay Contest
Rules for the proposed statewide Human Rights Essay Contest have been approved
by the League of MN Human Rights Commissions. The subcommittee (consisting of
Bergquist, McKenzie and Hermes) has recommended that the League find a
corporate sponsor and agreed ask West Group if they are interested in sponsoring
the contest.

7) Other Business/Announcements
Bergquist received a letter from Beverly St. John who asked questions about the
formation of the Roseville Human Rights Commission and its views about the
"browning of America". It was decided that the Commission would not respond to
Ms. St. John's questions since her intentions were vague and could be construed as
racially biased.

8) Adjournment
Boily-Salmanpour moved, Hermes seconded that the meeting be adjourned at
9:30pm. Motion passed unanimously.

9) Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00pm in Roseville City
Hall.
