<br />RI~ <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission <br /> <br /> <br />Bias Hate Crime Response Process <br />8/01 <br /> <br />When a hate crime occurs in Roseville and has the potential and/or becomes part of <br />an on going litigation staff will complete the following tasks: <br /> <br />1. Deputy Police Chief will notify the Human Rights Commission staff <br />liaison of bias hate crime. <br />2. Staff will issue a letter acknowledging the bias hate crime claim <br />a. bias hate crime sample <br />b. complaint against municipality <br />3. Staff will notify the Commission of the hate crime in summary format at <br />a regular meeting (indicate type of incident but no names). <br />4. Staff will monitor case progress and keep Commission informed. <br />5. If an alleged victim contacts the Commission a referral will be made <br />based upon the Network Contact list.
