<br />~~ <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission <br /> <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Bias Hate Crime Response <br /> <br />Purpose <br />To establish a local response to bias/hate crimes and to join with the League of <br />Minnesota Human Rights Commissions (LMHRC) in establishing a statewide response <br />mechanism to counter hate crimes. This procedure is based on outlines provided by the <br />LMHRC. These outlines have been modified to serve as a specific action guide for the <br />Roseville Human Rights Commission in the event of a bias/hate crime. The Roseville <br />Human Rights Commission will not play an investigative role in such crimes but will <br />provide support to victims of such crimes. <br /> <br />Goal <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Goal <br />Commitment from Roseville Police Department that the Roseville Human Rights <br />Commission (RHRC) will be notified as soon as possible after they receive a confirmed <br />bias/hate crime complaint. Contact with the RHRC can be made through the Roseville <br />staff liaison. <br />The RHRC will also provide the Roseville Police Department with any information <br />regarding hate crimes that its members receive as a result of their role as Commissioners. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Goal <br />Cultivate a network within the community that can be activated promptly to support <br />victims ofbiaslhate crime. <br /> <br />Goal <br />Raise awareness of this issue within the community. <br /> <br />( <br />" <br /> <br />-1- <br />
