Meetings will be held monthly on a regular <br />schedule. · <br /> <br />B. Special meetings may be called as required. <br /> <br />Procedures for Action and Reporting: <br />. <br /> <br />A. Committees will relay information and make <br />written recommendations to the Commission. <br /> <br />B. The Commission will discuss information and <br />recommendations and approve or reject same..~ <br />This action (in the form of a report with an <br />appropriate motion) shall be referred to the <br />City Council and/or State Department of Human <br />Rights. <br /> <br />C. A quorum of (5) will be necessary for such <br />action with a majority sufficient for passage. <br />The number voting aye and nay will be given. <br /> <br />General Duties of the Commission: <br /> <br />A. Enlist the cooperation of agencies, organi- <br />zations and individuals in the community in an <br />active program directed to create equal oppor- <br />tunity and eliminate discrimination and inequal- <br />ities. <br /> <br />B. Formulate a human relations program for the <br />City of Roseville to give increased effectiveness <br />and direction to the work of all individuals <br />and agencies addressing themselves to planninl. <br />policy making and educational programming in the <br />area of civil and human rights. <br /> <br />C. Advise the Mayor, the City Council, and <br />other agencies of the government of human <br />relations and civil rights programs. Act in an <br />advisory capacity with respect to planning or <br />operation of any city department on issues of <br />civil and human rights and recommend the adoption <br />of such specific policies or action as are <br />needed to provide for full equal opportunity <br />in the community. <br />
