<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Commissioners discussed other things the Commission could do to protect tenants. <br />Commissioner McKenzie said several other cities have done work on Tenants Rights. They <br />directed staff to check with Bloomington, Winona and St. Cloud to see what they have. <br /> <br />Further Discussion on Essay Contest <br /> <br />Commissioners discussed the quality of the essays that were received this year. Several <br />Commissioners thought the open-ended questions made it hard to grade. Chair Delmore shared a <br />writing rubric that she uses to grade papers. This may make it easier for Commissioners who do <br />not have experience in the education field. Commissioners agreed to review past questions at the <br />next meeting and then suggest questions for consideration to the State League of Human Rights. <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />Commissioner McKenzie mentioned that the State Auditor recently released an audit report on <br />the appropriate use of federal money. Apparently some school districts were not appropriately <br />spending money that should be spent for desegregation. Commissioners asked staff to get a copy <br />of the report. <br /> <br />Goal Setting <br /> <br />Commissioners agreed to discuss goal setting at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:20. <br /> <br />2 <br />
