Roseville Human Rights Commission
Meeting Minutes - May 08, 2007
Page 3 01'3

Commissioner Venters expressed interested in hearing from Carolyn Curti as to whether there
was interest from the City in pursuing such training. Chair Delmore volunteered to contact Ms.
Curti.

Commissioner Crump suggested that Ms. Curti view the DVD to determine whether it would be
of interest or use to the City employees.

Commissioner McGehee suggested that Ms. Curti, Captain Mathwig from the Police
Department; and City Manager Malinen view the DVD and receive training with Commissioners
as a first step.

Commissioner Crump suggested it may be more appropriate to get input from Ms. Curti prior to
moving further to seek her opinion on the best approach.

Brochures for Parade
Chair Delmore questioned if Commissioners were interested providing brochures for the
upcoming parade or in having a booth or table.

Given the number of Commissioners that were planning to be out of town over the holiday, it
was their consensus to advise Carolyn Curti that they would not have a table at this year's event.

Feedback/Comment Form Update
Chair Delmore advised that she was still awaiting word from City Manager Malinen regarding
development of a feedback form and that she would contact Ms. Curti for a status report.

Youth Commissioner
Chair Delmore advised Commissioners that the School was going to work on getting a Youth
Commissioner for the next school year who could serve on the City's HRC Commission,
possibly giving the student extra credit for serving their community in this way.

Other
An update had been provided by Commissioner McKenzie through Chair Delmore with an
update on the State Essay Contest Award Winner presentations.

Adjournment
Commissioner Crump moved and Commissioner McGehee seconded adjournment of the
meeting at 8:22 p.m.
