Tony Rozycki, 2557 Beacon St
He wants to know why there can't be a three-way stop light at either
Oakcrest or Rose Place.

Duane Schwartz said that it goes back to Ramsey County thinking it
would cause more traffic problems.

Member Neprash said he could see in the diagrams that it wouldn't take
much for cars to stack up and cause gridlock with the adjacent roads so he
can see why the County is against lights at Oakcrest or Rose Place.

Kaylynn Hofmeister, 2618 Aldine
She lives on the corner and when the Snelling and Oakcrest intersection
was closed before, she didn't think there was much more traffic going
through the neighborhood. She doesn't want anyone to lose their homes.
She wants the left turn off of Snelling to be left open, and she's not in
favor of any changes to the Fairview side.

Craig Landkamer, 2612 Wheeler
He said that if Alternative A was used and there was an accident on
Fairview, people wouldn't be able to get to their homes. Also, he said the
police told him they would give him a ticket if he did a V-turn on Snelling
at County Road C. He said no matter what happens the speed limit on
Fairview should be lowered. He doesn't understand how Mn/DOT can
say the Oakcrest and Snelling intersection is a safety hazard and keep open
the Snelling crossings at Hamline and Glenhill.

Nate Goldenman, 1756 Oakcrest
He said he would also like to see the Snelling and Oakcrest intersection
open, but Mn/DOT doesn't seem to be changing their mind so the
neighborhood needs to get together to come up with a viable solution.
Even though he sees problems with all the alternatives, a choice needs to
be made. He likes Alternative A because it creates a controlled
intersection and will probably address the steep incline there. He said
Alternative C seems to create the least amount of impact to the
neighborhood.

Roy Nelson. 1799 Rose Place
He spoke on the assumption that Snelling and Oakcrest will never be
reopened, he'd like to see a survey done by the county. He's driven
around trying to find an intersection comparable to it.

Al Sands. 2612 Aldine
He suggested they take a vote to see where everyone stmlds.

Doing nothing at this time even if northbound access is cut off from
Snelling - 13 votes
