<br />A construction agreement was approved by the City Council on 6/20/06 that detailed the <br />tenns and responsibilities of this cooperative project. Portions of the work were <br />completed in 2006 as a part of the Hamline/ Hoyt reconstruction project. The work in the <br />golf course is expected to be completed in 2007. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />The work completed as a part of the agreement does not completely address the drainage <br />concerns detailed in the report. Staff feels that since all of the issues surrounding this <br />subwatershed were not addressed, the Gottfried Pit area should be added as a problem <br />areas within the CSWMP. <br /> <br />. Center Street <br />For years we have been working on finding a resolution for street flooding that is <br />experienced at the intersection of Center Street and Rice Street. The primary concern is <br />the culvert under Rice Street that leads to a ditch on the west side in Maplewood. As a <br />result, any solution for this street flooding requires cooperation from Maplewood. Since <br />it is a cross jurisdictional issue that involves the Trout Brook Interceptor, Capitol Region <br />Watershed District needs to be involved. The three jurisdictions <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />To date we have not come to an agreement about a solution for this drainage concern. <br />Staff feels that since all the issues surrounding this subwatershed have not been <br />addressed, this subwatershed should be added as a problem area within the CSWMP. <br /> <br />2006 City Projects <br />. City Project No. 05-06: S. Owasso Blvd <br />This project is described above in problem area 2 <br /> <br />. City Project No. 06-02: Roselawn Avenue <br />To meet Rice Creek and Capitol Region Watershed District requirements for this project, <br />we constructed a number of stonn water management facilities within the Roselawn <br />right- of- way. <br />A biofiltration trench was constructed in the boulevard on the north side of Roselawn <br />between Snelling and Asbury Street. Street water drains to this area through a curb cut. <br />A biofiltration trench was constructed in the boulevard on the north side of Roselawn <br />between Asbury Street and Arona Street. Street water drains to this area through a curb <br />cut. <br />A biofiltration trench was constructed in the boulevard on the south side of Roselawn <br />between Sheldon Street and Hamline Avenue.
