2006 Redevelopment Projects:
Each year the City reviews a redevelopment and development plans to ensure that they meet all
of the policies outlined in the CSWMP. What follows are descriptions of the major
redevelopment projects that were completed in 2006.

. City project No: 06-08
Bonestroo Campus/ Fulham Pond Reconstruction
As a part of the Bonestroo building expansion project, Fulham Pond was modified in
order to allow the construction of an addition between the two existing Bonestroo
buildings located on the west and east side ofFulham Pond. This project consisted of the
conversion of Fulham Pond into a two cell system, connecting the two cells with 2-5x4
box culverts. In addition to the reconfiguration of the ponds, the pond was expanded to
the North and west to ensure that the regional pond did not lose any volume.

. City Project No: 06-09
Birch Park Redevelopment, 2061-2075 Chatsworth Court
This is a 10 lot residential subdivision that is located off Parker Avenue between
Lexington and Victoria Street. The development is located within the Capitol Region
Watershed District, and was designed to meet their new volume standards. The
developer installed underground infiltration! retention areas to meet the water quality
requirements. Portions of the system will be public.

. O'Reilly Auto Parts, 1887 Rice Street
This new commercial property was constmcted on a vacant lot. The developer installed
underground retention areas to meet the water quality requirements.

. Condominiums, 191 N. McCarrons Blvd
This is a 50 unit condominium project that is located next to the National Guard Armory.
The development is located within the Capitol Region Watershed District, as such it was
designed to meet their new volume standards. The developer installed infiltration!
retention areas to meet the water quality requirements.

Other Drainage Concerns
. Rosewood Lane
The residents at 2201 and 2211 N. Rosewood Lane have contacted the City concemed
about the wetland that is located between 2235 and nil N. Rosewood Lane. This
wetland curves around the back of these homes and is connected to the City's storm
sewer system.

After an extreme event the water levels in the wetland rise to an elevation that is close to
the lowest ingress into these homes. Street flooding also has been observed along
Midland Hills Road at S. Rosewood Lane. Over the years we have worked with the
residents on different solutions to their concems. In 200 I, we installed a curb cut in the
street to provide an emergency overflow for the wetland. This appeared to have resolved
some of their concerns.

City of Roseville
2006 Storm Water Annual Report
