<br />Special Education and Outreach <br /> <br />Roseville Earth Day <br />On April 22, 2006, Eureka Recycling participated in the city ofRoseville's Earth Day <br />event at Harriet Alexander Nature Center. Approxin1ately 300 Roseville residents <br />enjoyed spending time vvith one of our award-,;vinning recycling collection vehicles. <br />Eureka Ilecyc1ing staff had many conversations with residents about the recycling <br />progral11, and engaged with children through a recycling game sorting and tossing bean- <br />bag "rccyc1ables" into the trough of a mini recycling truck. <br /> <br />Name the Trucks Campaign <br />As a fun way to involve residents, Eureka <br />Recycling created three possible l1a111eS and <br />personalities for the t\vo new recycling <br />collection trucks being used in Roseville. <br />Residents voted on their :ttvorite <br />names. The winning 11a111C5 arc Rosie the <br />Recycler and Espresso, Rosie and Espresso <br />\vere introduced in the Roseville City <br />Newsletter, and "birth certificates" were <br />presented to the city, Decals of the names <br />were added to the new tlucks so residents <br />can recognize them as they work in the <br />streets ofRoseville evelY day, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
