<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD MARCH 14, 1966 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on March 14, 1966 <br />at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Grauel and Shields <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Trustee Goodrich <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1487 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEVILLE VILLAGE COUNCIL AUTHORlZED FILING <br />OF APPLICATION FOR GRANT TO ACQUIRE OPEN SPACE LAND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961, as amended, provides <br />for the making of grants by the Housing and Home Finance Administrator <br />to States and local public bodies to assist them in the acquisition of <br />permanent interests in land for open-space uses where such assistance is <br />needed for carrying out a unified or officially coordinated program for <br />the provision and development of open-space land as part of the comprehensive <br />planned development of the urban area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Village Council desires to acquire Fee Simple <br />Estate to certain land known as the Roseville Golf Course, which land in <br />accordance with the Roseville Comprehensive Plan approved by the Roseville <br />Village Council is to be held and used for permanent open-space land as a <br />municipal golf course; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the regulations <br />of the Housing and Home Finance Agency effectuating the Title, provide that <br />no person shall be discriminated against because of race, color, or national <br />origin in the use of the land proposed to be acquired; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is recognized that the contract for Federal grant will <br />impose certain obligations and responsibilities upon the Applicant and will <br />require among other things (1) assurances that families and individuals <br />displaced as a result of the open-space land project will be relocated into <br />decent, safe, and sanitary housing, (2) compliance with Federal labor <br />standards, and (3) compliance with Federal requirements relating to equal <br />employment opportunity; and <br />
