<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD MAY 23, 1966. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a <br />regular meeting of the Village Council of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall <br />in said Village on May 23, 1966, at 7:30 p.m. The <br />following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholn;, Trustees Curley, Goodrich and Shields <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Trustee Grauel <br /> <br />Member Goodrich introduced the following <br />Resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1532 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY EMINENT <br />DOMAIN THE FEE SIMPLE INTEREST ACROSS CERTAIN LAND FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING A <br />FLOWAGE EASEMENT. FOR THE FLOWAGE. STORAGE, PONDING AND <br />DISCHARGE OF STORM WATERS, INCLUDING THE MAINTENANCE AND <br />CONSTRUCTION OF STORM WATER LINES AND PIPES FOR THE <br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE., MINNESOTA, AND THAT THE NECESSARY <br />PROCEEDINGS BE COMPLETED FOR SAID PURPOSE, AS A PART OF <br />IMPROVEMENT 66-11: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of <br />Roseville has been advised by competent engineers that it <br />is feasible to construct a ponding area for the flowage, <br />storage, ponding and discharge of storm waters for a <br />portion of said Village, including the maintenance and <br />construction of storm water lines and pipes as a part <br />of Improvement 66-11 for the Village of Rosevillej and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it necessary <br />and expedient and in the best interest of the Village <br />and its inhabitants that the Village acquire fee simple <br />interest in certain land for the above purposesj and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Minnesota <br />state that the Village has the power and authority to take <br />and acquire said property by condemnation under the power <br />of eminent domain; <br />
