<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JANUARY Z3~ 1967. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, <br />a regular meeting of the Village Council of the <br />Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called <br />and held at the Village Hall in said Village <br />on January 25~ 1967, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Acting Mayor Shields, <br />Trustees Curley, Goodrich and Grauel <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Mayor Cedarholm <br /> <br />Member Goodrich introduced the <br />following Resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1737 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN THE GENERAL <br />OBJECTIVES OF THE MINNESOTA ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY <br />FOR THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPING OF A MAJOR <br />ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a modern zoological garden is <br />deemed vital to the cultural, recreational, edu- <br />cational and economic future of the Twin Cities <br />metropolitan area and the state of Minnesota, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is not now a modern zoo <br />facility in the Twin Cities metropolitan area <br />or in the state of Minnesota, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Zoological Society, <br />a private, non-profit Minnesota corporation, has <br />proposed to establish a major zoological garden <br />in and for Minnesota, and <br />
