EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF ~lliETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA January 23, 1967 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall in said Village on January 23, 1967, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Shields, Trustees Curley, Goodrich and Grauel and the following was absent: Mayor Cedarholm Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 1739 RESOLUTION DETERMINING Tiffi NECESSITY OF BORROWING MONEY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A ~ruNICIPAL GOLF COURSE TO BE OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE VILLAGE AS A PUBLIC CONVENIENCE FROM WHICH A REVENUE SHALL BE DERIVED BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared to be necessary and expedient for the Village to borrow money by issuing its general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $290,000 for the purpose of providing funds for the acquisition of a municipal golf course to be owned and operated by the Village as a public convenience from which a revenue shall be derived. 2. The question of issuing general obligation bonds of the Village in the amount and for the purpose stated above shall be submitted to the voters of the Village at a special election which is hereby called for February 21, 1967, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and 8:00 p.m. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said election to be given by publication of a notice once each week for two weeks in the official newspaper, and by posting copies of said notice at the polling places and at three other public and conspicuous places within each election precinct.
