Of the two and
three-quarter mile length of the existing ditch, approximately
one and one-half miles are proposed to be improved, all lying
north of Trunk rlighway 36. The ditch will be reconstructed in
its present location for approximately 3,800 feet between County
Road C and the outlet, together with the installation of
necessary enlarged culverts at street and highway crossings. The area tributary to the present ditch 4 system which
was initiated in 1906, consists of a large area within the
central portion of Roseville bounded generally on the west by
Fairview Avenue and generally on the east by Hamline Avenue, and
extending from County Road 0, the north Village l~its, to
Roselawn Avenue which is partially toe south villa~e limits, as
well as a small fringe area within the Village of Falcon Heights.
The cost of the improvement is presently estimated at approx-
imately $480,000.
