<br />After a discussion of the views presented by persons ap~ear- <br /> <br />ing at the public hearing for Storm Drainage Improvement No. 67-20, <br /> <br />Councilman Shields <br /> <br />then introduced the followin~ <br /> <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolu'i.:ion No. <br /> <br />1866 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING STORM DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENT No. 67-20 UNDER AND <br />PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, <br />CHAPTER 429, AS AMENDED. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Coundl of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnescta <br />Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a public <br />hearing pursuant to published notice, on proposed Storm Drainage <br />Improvement No. 67-20, consisting of the construction of trtnk, <br />sub-trunk and lateral storm sewers serving an area of appro~- <br />imately 120 acres located in the northeast quarter of Secticn 16 <br />and generally bounded by Roselawn Avenue, Snelling Avenue, County <br />Road B, and Fairview Avenue. The main trunk outlet will oiEcharge <br />into an existing 42 inch storm sewer located on Skillman AVEnue <br />immediately east of Snelling Avenue, which sewer was constr1.cted <br />in 1962 under a previous local storm drainage improvement. The <br />ul timate outlet for the proposed system is through Zimmermall Lake, <br />Dry Robinson Lake, and into County Ditch 4 which discharges into <br />Lake Johanna. Lake Johanna in turn drains through a series of <br />private ditches and natural wate~ cour~es to eventually rea4~ <br />Long Lake in New Brighton which is drained to the MississiPJd <br />River via Rice Creek. The system consists of a series of p: .pes <br />varying in size from 12 inch through 42 inch, together wi tl1 <br />necessary catch basins, manholes and appurtenances to resul': in <br />the drainage of' water into the storm sewer system from the i lfore- <br />mentioned l20 acre area. The cost of the improvement is es:im- <br />ated presently to be approximately $ 308,130.00 The fo ~e- <br />going is all substantially in accordance with a preliminary <br />engineering report which is now on file in the office of th~ <br />Village Manager.
