Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, June 18, 2007
Page 7
City's ongoing monitoring of the construction project not manage-
ment of the project.
Pust moved, Kough seconded approval of a Public Improvement Con-
tract between the City of Roseville and Kimco Realty Corporate (the
developer) at the "Frank's Nursery Redevelopment."
Roll Call
Ayes: Kough; Pust; Ihlan; Roe and Klausing.
Nays: None.
8. Consider Items Removed from Consent
City Council Meeting -Cancel July 9, 2007 City Council meeting (for-
mer Consent Item 7.g)
Councilmember Roe expressed concern that all items on tonight's agenda
may not be heard given time constraints and noted the full agenda at other
July meetings, questioning whether the July 9 meeting should be scheduled
and if no pertinent items needing action could be spent on 2008 budget items
to allow more substantial discussion.
Mayor Klausing noted the suggestion and wondered if staff's rationale was
due to the July 4th holiday week and preparation of the agenda and packet
delivery with light staffing and limited time with the holiday falling mid-
week.
Finance Director Miller advised that the holiday was one consideration with
staff and consultants vacationing around the holiday and also noted that
while the other two meetings scheduled in July were full agendas, they al-
lowed some flexibility with the July 16 meeting, normally a Study Session,
being a regular Council meeting.
Councilmember Pust expressed concern that a full month would go by with-
out ameeting and questioned if pertinent items could be handled and budget
presentations that wouldn't require consultant information. Councilmember
Pust noted that she didn't want to meet if not necessary but suggested the
Council wait until the end of tonight's meeting to determine the progress of
tonight's agenda items.
