Minutes of 8/27/07 Regular City Council Meeting Page 18 Gating Liquor License for ERJ Dining IV, LLC, d/b/a Chili's Grill and Bar at 1840 W County Road B-2 Mayor Klausing opened the Public Hearing at 8:06 p.m. Finance Director Chris Miller advised that this request represented a change in the corporation owning Chili's and was pending review by the City Attorney prior to issuance of the license to ensure all was in order. Mr. Miller advised that published notice was provided, and background checks on the new ownership had been completed, with staff recommending approval. Mayor Klausing closed the Public Hearing at 8:08 p.m., with no one appearing for or against. Councilmember Pust questioned if the previous ownership had been in full compliance with the City's alcohol ordinance with Mr. Miller responded affirmatively and Councilmember Pust thanking them for their compliance. Councilmember Roe questioned the designation on the license appli- cation that indicated that this was a new license, not a transfer. Mr. Miller clarified that this was due to the Roseville City Code not permitting transfers and them having to be considered new licensees held on their own merits. Councilmember Kough questioned staff's information process to new licensees to make them aware of City requirements regarding compli- ance checks and processes. Mr. Miller advised that all licensees were provided with applicable City Code and information; and opined that the new owners were re- sponsible, and that staff had no reason to believe that they hadn't ta- ken note or all state and local laws. Kough moved, Klausing seconded, approving the On-Sale and Sunday Intoxicating liquor license for ERJ Dining IV, LLC, d/b/a Chili's Grill & Bar, for the year ending December 31, 2007.
