Minutes of 8/27/07 <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />Page 23 <br />urination of the number of community-at-large members, and follow- <br />ing consultation with the consulting firm, and other potential interest <br />groups in the community (i.e., business representatives). <br />City Manager Malinen sought staff direction to begin placing notices <br />and requesting applications from residents and the business commu- <br />nity; in order to stay ahead of time constraints. <br />Councilmembers so directed staff by consensus. <br />Discussion ensued regarding a deadline for applications; with consen- <br />sus being that the application window needed to be limited to two (2) <br />weeks; Staff was directed to provide applications to the City Council <br />at their September 10, 2007 meeting, at which time, depending on the <br />number of applications received from the community-at-large and <br />business community, the City Council would determine if interviews <br />were necessary or appointments could proceed. <br />Councilmember Pust opined that it was incumbent of individual <br />Councilmembers to provide notice throughout the community of the <br />process and requested applications; as well as by the normal media <br />options staff could pursue. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Kough; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />b. Amended Planned Unit Development Agreement -Consider Ap- <br />proving the Amended Planned Unit Development (PUD) Agree- <br />ment for Northwestern College, 3003 Snelling Avenue <br />As previously noted, this item was removed at the request of the ap- <br />plicant. <br />Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 8:26 p.m. and reconvened at 8:34 p.m. <br />c.
