Minutes of 8/27/07 <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />Page 7 <br />Mr. Miller advised that this firm will provide specific safety training, <br />whether in the field or in the office, to prevent workplace hazards and <br />accidents and to make sure all equipment used and work places are <br />OSHA compliant. <br />Councilmember Pust noted several concerns about the legal agree- <br />ment and provided her comments to City Attorney Anderson, who had <br />yet to review the document as advised by Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller fur- <br />ther advised that the private safety consulting firm would provide an- <br />nual mandatory training for City employees. <br />Kough moved, Ihlan seconded, authorizing the City Manager to exe- <br />cute and Agreement for safety consultant services with Integrated <br />Loss Control, Inc. from September 1, 2007 to August 31, 2008, at a <br />cost not to exceed $7,392.00. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Kough; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />g. Final Plat and Public Improvement Contract -Approve the Final <br />Plat and Public Improvement Contract for Oak Acres by Art <br />Mueller, 2201 Acorn Road <br />City Manager Malinen briefly introduced requested Council action for <br />approval of the Art Mueller Final Plat and Public Improvement Con- <br />tract for Oak Acres, a residential subdivision that redevelops 2201 <br />Acorn Road into a four (4) lot, single-family residential development, <br />including construction of a public cul-de-sac street and public sanitary <br />sewer and water utilities. Mr. Malinen noted that staff was recom- <br />mending approval. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that there appeared to be a number of au- <br />dience members in attendance at tonight's meeting and asked that the <br />City Council hear their comments. Councilmember Ihlan expressed <br />frustration that a public hearing had not been noticed tonight. <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson noted that, pursuant to State Statute and <br />City Code, no public hearing was specified.
