Regular City Council Meeting Monday, August 13, 2007 Page 22 Mike Price, General Manager, LaCasita in Roseville and Columbia Heights Mr. Price advised that their business had read the training as optional as well; and questioned how to proceed on an annual basis with the substantial turnover of employees in their type of business. Mr. Price noted that they provided their own training, but still failed the compli- ance check, opining that whether the training were approved by the Chief or not, they remained just as guilty, and questioned why those participating in optional manager and server training approved by the Police Chief should receive less of a penalty. Mayor Klausing noted the need for the Police Chief to review approve training programs to determine their validity. Kough moved, Pust seconded, authorizing the Roseville Police De- partment to issue and administer the presumptive penalty as set forth in Section 302.15 for on-sale license holders who do not participate in optional manager and server training for a first violation in thirty-six (36) months, with the mandatory minimum penalty being a $500.00 fine and a one day suspension; with the date for license suspension at the discretion of the Police Chief. Roll Call Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Kough; Roe; and Klausing. Nays: None. Outback Steakhouse Chief Sletner outlined the specifics of this compliance failure and staffl s recommendation. No representative of Outback Steakhouse was present to speak.
