Planning Commission Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, August 01, 2007 Page 10 anticipated joint meeting of the Planning Commission and City Council at their August 20, 2007 Study Session to discuss process and selection of a consultant to assist with the Comprehensive Plan Update; reviewed the proposed time table for a draft by June of 2008 and submission to the Metropolitan Council by September of 2008, allowing for review and comment from other jurisdictions and agencies. Discussion included staff’s recommendation on the process and steps to meet various revision goals; potential development of a steering committee, their potential member make up and anticipated meeting schedule; a preview of information to be presented by th staff to the joint meeting on August 20; and the Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals process and progress, along with City Council support for a consultant and scope of services. Mr. Darrow advised that he would prepare, for the August 15, 2007 Special Planning Commission meeting, the above-referenced information; along with a punch list. Commissioners collectively expressed their appreciation to Mr. Darrow for his report and work on the Comprehensive Plan Update to-date. th Commissioner Gottfried opined that the August 15 discussion on the Comprehensive Plan Update may impact discussions on the visioning process, and noted that the Planning Commission’s charge would be to provide continuity for future planning documents. Vice Chair Doherty reminded commissioners of the joint meeting of the Planning Commission and City Council (Study Session) on Monday, AUGUST 20, 2007 at 6:00 p.m., seeking their attendance and participation. *MOTION Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Wozniak, to amend the purpose of the Special meeting of the Planning Commission on Wednesday, August 15, 2007, to include preliminary staff presentation of discussion materials related to the Comprehensive Plan Amendment proposed for presentation at the August 20, 2007 joint meeting of the City Council and Planning Commission. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Motion carried. Vice Chair Doherty closed the Public Hearing for Project File 0004. MOTION Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Wozniak to continue Project File 0004 of the Roseville Comprehensive Plan Update Process to the next meeting. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Motion carried. 6.
