Mr. Munson noted that several outstanding maintenance issues re- <br />mained as evidenced in an updated inspection earlier today, and asked for Council <br />direction to staff to work with the City's Prosecuting Attorney to provide Ramsey <br />County Court Citation to the owner if remaining violations of the City Code listed <br />violations was not corrected by October 15, 2007. <br />Property Owner, Matt Medick, 2424 Dale Street (Residence at 9479 Rose- <br />wood Lane, Maple Grove, MN) <br />Mr. Medick assured Councilmembers that is was his intent to complete remaining <br />maintenance issues on this rental property as soon as possible. <br />Mayor Klausing asked, and Mr. Medick responded affirmatively that he was com- <br />fortable with the items identified by staff, their deadline for compliance, and his <br />ability to complete those maintenance issues. <br />Councilmember Pust questioned if Mr. Medick owned any other properties in <br />Roseville; with Mr. Medick responding negatively. <br />Councilmember Roe questioned if Mr. Medick had been prepared to bring this <br />property up to code when purchasing the property. <br />Mr. Medick responded that he had been unaware of all of the City's necessary <br />provisions. <br />Councilmember Roe further noted concerns from a neighbor raised at a recent <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) meeting related to interior issues, <br />and questioned if Mr. Medick was dealing with those issues as well. <br />Mr. Medick responded affirmatively. <br />Klausing moved, Ihlan seconded, authorizing staff to work with the City's Prose- <br />cuting Attorney to cite (Ramsey County Court Citation) the owner for violations <br />of the City Code if listed violations are not corrected by October 15, 2007. <br />Public Comment <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn advised that he had e-mailed several Councilmembers with his <br />general comments on this issue; and questioned the common sense and wisdom of <br />putting the City in a position of ridicule in attempting a Ramsey County court Ci- <br />tation at this time, given pending weather changes, and the potential inability or <br />unwillingness of the owner to comply before winter weather created additional is- <br />sues. <br />
