Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, September 24, 2007 <br />Minutes Page 4 <br />Pust moved, Kough seconded, approval of request of the Roseville Central Park <br />Foundation to conduct a raffle on October 5, 2007, at the Roseville Skating Cen- <br />ter, located at 2661 Civic Center Drive <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Pust; R~lan; Kough; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />d. Resolution -Approve Change Orders and Adopt a Resolution to Accept <br />Work Completed, Authorize Final Payment of $34,427.38, and Commence <br />the One-Year Warranty Period on the County Road B-2 Pathway Project <br />Councilmember Ihlan questioned if funding for Change Orders was based on fed- <br />eral and city cost sharing as with the original bidding mechanisms. <br />Councilmember Kough questioned who initiated the Change Orders, and why <br />there were so many. <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz advised that the need for the Change Or- <br />ders had been detailed in the staff report as provided as background information <br />for this item. Mr. Schwartz noted that there had been numerous unforeseen con- <br />ditions during the project's duration (i.e., watermain work that needed to be relo- <br />cated; difficulty with valves in one area; working with property owners and <br />minimizing downtime financially and working weekends to minimize impacts on <br />property owners and mitigating their concerns). <br />City Manager Malinen noted that estimated costs projected in the feasibility re- <br />port had been approximately $1.4 million; however, noted that actual total costs <br />had come in at $1.2 million even with the Change Orders, well below estimates. <br />Pust moved, Kough seconded, approval of Change Orders #1 - 9 as detailed be- <br />low: <br />C. O. #1 Additional watermain work to relocate hydrants and $19,497.50 <br /> additional uard rail <br />C. O. #2 Storm sewer pipe realignment to avoid conflict with 3,360.00 <br /> retaining wall and footin <br />C. O. #3 Relocate CB to meet federal clear zone requirements; 2,576.00 <br /> additional watermain materials, change in specified <br /> fence material at FedEx <br />C. O. #4 Installation of street lights on north side of County 15,833.26 <br /> Road B-2 adjacent to golf course, due to numerous <br /> complaints from property owners when poles were <br /> removed from the south side <br />C. O. #5 Not executed due to cost - 0 - <br />C. O. #6 Installation of a 12" ate valve on watermain in order 9,050.00 <br />
