Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, November O5, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />charged with a study to determine why the City of Roseville staff process for <br />abatements was so time consuming. <br />4. Council Communications, Reports and Announcements <br />a. Mayor Klausing announced the recognition of five (5) City of Roseville Police <br />Officers and their receipt of various awards from Ramsey/Washington County <br />Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) on October 23, 2007, for their efforts <br />and DWI arrests. Those officers, and their specific awards, were: Officer Brooke <br />Jennings - "Above and Beyond" Award, Sergeant Rick Wahtera - "Safety First" <br />Award, Sergeant Scott Williams - "Safe Community" Award, Officer Thomas <br />Roth - "Outstanding Service" Award and Officer Brady Martin - "Human <br />Breathalyzer" Award. <br />Mayor Klausing also personally recognized the officers and publicly thanked <br />them for their ongoing efforts. <br />b. Councilmember Ihlan noted that Councilmembers had received a petition from <br />residents on Laurie Road, seeking support of an ordinance to eliminate or limit <br />overnight parking on their street. Councilmember Ihlan sought clarification from <br />City Manager Malinen that this item would be addressed at the November 19, <br />2007 meeting. <br />City Manager Malinen advised that a general parking ordinance was slated for <br />discussion at that meeting. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted, for those affected residents, that a preliminary dis- <br />cussion on a proposed ordinance would be on the November 19, 2007 agenda. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />None. <br />6. Approve Minutes <br />a. Approve Minutes of 10/22/07 Regular Meeting <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, approval of the minutes of the October 24, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting as amended. <br />Corrections• <br />Page 7, Line 28 -add the motion regarding annual liquor license renewals <br />Page 15, line 16 -second vote that is listed was on the original motion, as <br />amended <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Pust; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />
