Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, November O5, 2007 <br />Page 9 <br />c. Discussion -Council Discussion on the Fina12008 Budget <br />A brief discussion included the status and funding of the Roseville Seniors-At- <br />Home program, with Councilmember Pust advising that she could report more <br />following the program's upcoming meeting on November 12, 2007, noting that <br />she didn't represent the program, but would be attending the meeting in her role <br />as volunteer attorney for the North Suburban Senior Council. <br />Councilmember Pust advised that she would seek clarification from staff outside <br />the meeting on several line items. <br />Councilmember Roe thanked staff for their work to-date on the proposed budget; <br />and respectfully requested any additional suggestions for further levy reductions <br />from fellow Councilmembers prior to the December 3, 2007 meeting, to allow <br />sufficient time for review and discussion in the context of the entire budget. <br />Further discussion included status of Councilmember Kough's police motorcycle <br />patrol that was voted down at the October 22, 2007 meeting; and employee health <br />insurance benefit package within budget confines. <br />11. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br />a. Mayor Klausing questioned when the animal license ordinance would be on the <br />Consent Agenda. <br />City Manager Malinen advised it was scheduled for November 19, 2007. <br />b. Councilmember Roe asked that in the context of budget policy compliance, an <br />action item for an upcoming agenda in the near future include transfer of the Tax- <br />payer Reduction Fund balance action take place before year-end to make sure that <br />was evident in next year's audit. <br />c. Councilmember Roe asked that a future agenda item include discussion of Advi-. <br />sory Commission vacancies for 2008. <br />d. Councilmember Roe thanked staff for providing preliminary agendas for Coun- <br />cil awareness of upcoming agenda items. He noted that a discussion of City <br />Council Liaisons was slated for the November 26, 2007 meeting, and observed <br />that it was a fairly full meeting, and asked that the item be rescheduled fora De- <br />cembermeeting instead to allow sufficient time for discussion. <br />12. Adjourn <br />The meeting was adjourned at 6:53 p.m. <br />• <br />
