Truth-in-Tazation Hearing and Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, December 03, 2007
Page 7
that the Community Development Department avoided including the documents
in packet materials to avoid the need to post them on the Internet for public in-
formation; and expressed frustration with documents provided by anyone -
whether City Council, staff or whomever -being tossed on the table at the meet-
ing and requesting a quick vote. Mr. Kysylyczyn noted that, for the most part,
Department Heads and City Councilmembers had attempted to abide by past prac-
tice, with the exception of the Community Development Department. Mr. Ky-
sylyczyn referenced a recent document entitled, "Comparison of Code Enforce-
ment Procedures" provided by code enforcement staff at a recent meeting; and
provided, as a bench handout at tonight's meeting, his "corrected version," to su-
percede Code Enforcement Official Don Munson's original version.
Mayor Klausing advised that he was unaware of there being an apparent problem;
however requested that City Manager Malinen follow up with Department Heads
accordingly to ensure improved processes in the future.
Mr. Kysylyczyn suggested that the City Council consider a timer for limiting pub-
lic speakers; with Mayor Klausing suggesting that the Council could look into
providing such a timer.
4.
