<br />Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />Date: October 23, 2007 <br /> <br />Item No: 8 <br /> <br />Item Description: "Welcome to Roseville" Sign Concepts <br /> <br />The Commission previously discussed the "Welcome to Roseville" sign proposal at the request <br />of the City Council during the July 24, 2007. meeting and briefly at last months Commission <br />meeting. Commission members asked staff to do additional research on a few items related to <br />sIgns. <br /> <br />Locations selected by the Commission and deemed feasible by staff pending right-of-way permit <br />approvals from MnlDot or Ramsey County are the north end of Snelling A venue, Lexington <br />Avenue at County Road D, both ends of County Road C, and Highway 36 at Rice Street. <br /> <br />We asked for cost and design concepts information from the company that has provided the park <br />signage, as you indicated the signs should be similar. Each sign may vary in size based on the <br />location and proximity to the road. We will have a concept and cost information at the meeting. <br /> <br />Please refer to the July packet for additional background information. <br /> <br />Recommended Action: <br /> <br />Recommendation to the City Council regarding locations, concept, and budget level cost <br />recommendation for "Welcome to Roseville" signs. <br />
