Call Roll Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council regular meeting at approxi- mately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. (Voting and Seating Order for January: Pust; Roe; Kough; Ihlan and Klausing) City Attorney Steve Andersen was also present. 2. Approve Agenda The agenda was approved by consensus, as presented. 3. Public Comment Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- agenda items. a. Dr. John Thein, 434 Owasso Hills Drive and Superintendent, Roseville School District No. 623 Dr. Thein noted that he was speaking in a dual role: that of a citizen of Roseville, and as School District No. 623 Superintendent. Dr. Thein expressed his appreciation for having the privilege of a close working relationship with the City of Roseville's City Manager, Department Heads and City Council. Dr. Thein opined that the School District was blessed and fortu- nate, compared to other communities. Dr. Thein emphasized the superior work of the City's Police Liaison Officer Mark Schultz, and opined that Officer Schultz continued the outstanding tradition of quality work. Dr. Thein expressed further appreciation to the City's Fire Department in their response to a sprinkler alarm and leak at Roseville Area High School immediately prior to the holidays, and the Department's work above and beyond the call of duty in assuring that the School was able to open for classes the next morning. As a private citizen, and on behalf of his family, Dr. Thein opined that he felt for- tunate to live in Roseville; and observed the diligence of the City's various de- partments, noting the Police Department and Public Works Departments and their evident and visible service on a day-to-day basis throughout the City. Dr. Thein opined that "we're awell-run City, and we have many things for which to be grateful."
