Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, January 07, 2008
Page 2
Ken Fiore
Mr. Fiore opined that the City of Roseville's snow removal services were second
to none; and further opined that it was worth the taxes for the privilege of living in
Roseville. Mr. Fiore opined that, while everyone wanted to keep taxes down and
everyone was penny-pinching, as long as the taxpayer dollars were spent wisely,
the City Council shouldn't take issue with raising taxes, since that was what made
Roseville the City it was. Mr. Fiore further opined that he wasn't concerned with
comparing Roseville to other communities; but that "We're Roseville, and you
people [City Council] represent Roseville; decide what's best for Roseville, not
other communities."
Mr. Fiore opined that the proposed parking ban was a ridiculous idea, and further
opined that one solution wasn't right for everyone.
Mr. Fiore further opined that if someone wanted to subdivide their property, that
was their right as a property owner, and they should be able to do it.
Mr. Fiore challenged the City Council, when making ordinances, to make sure
they could be enforced. Mr. Fiore opined that the Police Department had better
things to do than enforce a parking ban.
Mr. Fiore concluded his comments by expressing his appreciation to the Council
for their work, and his general support. for the majority opinion of the City Coun-
cil
b. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street
Mr. Kysylyczyn opined what made a good community was citizen participation;
and cautioned City Council members from attacking the public comment process
or citizens speaking on issues. Mr. Kysylyczyn referenced and reviewed his per-
sonal statistical analysis from past meetings on the actual tune for public com-
ment, and that of individual Councilmember and/or staff responses.
4.
