Regular City Council I@Jeeting <br />R~Ionday, January 14, 20OS <br />Page 9 <br />Mr. Lloyd sought clarification from the City Council as to their prefeiaed alterna- <br />tive. <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined her support of a PUD amendment. <br />Mayor Klausing opined his support of a zoning text amendment. <br />Councilmember Roe opined lus support of a PUB amendment, expressing con- <br />cern in making a zoning text vnendment related to this project without discussing <br />other considerations. <br />Councilmember Pust expressed no preference; and deferred to staffs recommen- <br />dation. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that there were neighbors present, who may wish to <br />provide additional continent. <br />Mayor Klausing advised that the public would be given another opportunity to <br />speak, following further consideration by the applicant and staff on their best op- <br />tion. <br />Public Comment <br />Patrick Schmidt, 1140 Autumn Street <br />Mr. Schmidt presented written comments, dated January 14, 2008, from FAST <br />(Foes of Autumn Street Traffic); attached hereto and made a part thereof; and <br />verbally summarized those comments. Mr. Schmidt cormnended staff to en- <br />forcement of the parking situation along Autumn Street; and spoke in support of <br />the proposed use, but not the rezoning that may promote future uses that are not in <br />theinterest ofthe neighborhood. <br />Mr. Schmidt advised that, following tonight's discussion of Councilmembers, he <br />would consult with the neighbors to determine their preferences. <br />Klausing moved, Kough seconded, to TABLE consideration of this application, to <br />allow the applicant time to work with staff for options to allow this specific use <br />without broader impacts to the coimnunity. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Kough; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />10.
