Appoint Advisory Commissioners and Authorize Staff to Advertise for <br />Commission Vacancies (Former Consent Item E) <br />Ihlan moved to consider reappointment of advisory commissioners at the same <br />time as vacancies were filled. <br />The Chair ruled the motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, reappointment of the following Commissioners to <br />their respective Commissions, with terms starting April 1, 2008 and ending March <br />31, 2011: <br />Commissioner Commission <br />Melissa Weldon Ethics Commission <br />Marie Oftelie Human Ri hts Commission <br />Robert Venters Human Ri hts Commission <br />James Stark Parks & Recreation Commission <br />Robert Willmus Parks & Recreation Commission <br />Thomas Gottfried Plannin Commission <br />James DeBenedet Public Works, Environment & Transporta- <br />tion Commission <br />Jan Vanderwall Public Works, Environment & Transporta- <br />tion Commission <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, authorizing staff to advertise for a vacancy on the <br />Ethics Commission; a vacancy on the Planning Commission; and a vacancy on <br />the Police Civil Service Commission; with a 4:30 p.m. February 29, 2008 dead- <br />line for applications; with interviews of candidates prior to the March 17, 2008 <br />City Council meeting. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing inserted a City Council communication note at this point, reminding the public <br />of the upcoming Home and Garden Fair scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Fair- <br />view Community Center, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., with free admission. Mayor Klausing <br />advised that additional information was available at City Hall or through the City's website. <br />9. General Ordinances <br />
